How to understand your fate and change it for the better

The above is the title of my latest book in the Spiritual Nutshell Series, a series about basic spiritual aspects of life that I am co-authoring with Maria McMahon.

This is the description of the book from the back cover:

To most people alive today their fate is a big mystery. Why do certain events – good or bad – happen to them? Is there anything they can do about it? What creates fate? Can we change our fate? Is it at all possible to know what awaits us?

Yes it is! Our fate is ruled by laws and once we become knowledgeable about those laws, we can start sowing what we would like to reap. Because that is the point: the law of karma decrees that we reap as we sow – in this life or in a later life.  We all know that if we sow carrots, it is carrots that we are going to reap, but most people are not aware that this is also valid for their non-physical manifestations. When we sow anger, we reap it, when we sow hatred, we reap it, when we sow love, we reap it.

This book takes you through the labyrinth of fate and karma and it reveals how to create a fate that you will love. It will show you that you can change your destiny.  It will also show you how to avert a dark fate that you may unknowingly have sown in a past life. In short: when you have read this book you will have the tools to master your fate. Your fate is in your hands. Your karma is in your hands. When you master your fate, you can create happiness, bliss and joy.

The Greatest Challenge facing Humankind today

According to Martinus the greatest challenge facing humankind today is to come to grips with the law of karma. Why is it so important? It is because we can never create a peaceful planet with equality and prosperity for all, as long we do not know how our fate is created.

We have to realize what it means that we reap as we sow. What it really means.

A lot of countries, and I suppose I do not have to mention any names, still think that they can create peace with war, threats of war and rearmament. They do not realize that war will generate more war, and that an aggressive behaviour towards others will only result in an aggressive behaviour towards one self.

In order to create peace, you must sow it. You must turn the other cheek. This means that you must turn your humanitarian side towards the aggressor and refrain from taking revenge. An old saying states that when you seek revenge, you must dig two graves: one for the enemy and one for yourself. That is just so true.

You cannot understand your fate seen in a one-life perspective

There are many aspects of karma, and one of them is that karma sown in a previous life can come back to you in a later life. It works like this because there is no straight line in the universe, so when you perform an act, you send out a small amount of energy into the universe. As all energies move in cycles, the energy will, sooner or later, return to its origin. When the energy returns, it will affect the fate of the person who sent it out.

The energy can take a long time to travel through space, and it can take several incarnations before it returns to its origin. This means that nobody can understand his or her fate seen in a one-life perspective. We need a perspective of more than one life to understand our fate.

What can we do then, when we do not know what we have sown in former lives and we do not know what awaits us? How can we avert a dark fate that we have sown in a previous life? We can actually do a lot.

It pays to be good

The best thing you can do is to clean up your act. If you go around cheating, then stop it. If you go around stealing or being greedy, stop it. If you gossip and talk negatively about others, stop it. If you participate in killing other living beings by eating meat, stop it. We must realize that what we do to others, we eventually do to ourselves.

Having this in mind can really pave the way for good karma for ourselves. If we only sow what we would be happy to reap in the future, then we have laid a firm foundation for creating a happy fate for ourselves.

As with so many other aspects of life, it helps to become aware of how things work. So, the first prerequisite is to realize that our fate is ruled by the law of karma and then find out how it works. Once you have done that, you can start to actively improve your life, now and in the future, by only sowing what you would like to reap.

It is of paramount importance to become knowledgeable about the workings of the law of karma, so that we can stop sowing dark karma for ourselves. This does not only go for individuals but also for countries.

The reason for sufferings

One of the big mysteries of life is why we have to suffer. Why does suffering exist? Martinus has explained this in detail and our book reveals the reason for suffering. It also explains how we can work to avoid suffering in the future.

Why do some people have to suffer and others not? When we think that some people must suffer more than others, then it is because our vision has been blurred by the one-life perspective. Seen in the right perspective of a long series of lives on Earth nobody suffers more than any other. We all have to go through the same to become the same: A real, finished human being that can only sow universal love.

Karma of countries

A country sows dark karma for itself and its inhabitants when it goes to war over territorial right, oil rights, mining rights etc. This karma will return as aggression towards that country and its inhabitants at a later time. For that reason we MUST ALL know this, so that we can spread the word as much as possible.

How can we create a peaceful world, if we do not know how to sow peace?

We must all help create a better world by only sowing what we want to reap and by doing what we can to show a good example and teaching everybody we know about the law of karma.

The book ´Fate and Karma in a Nutshell. How to understand your fate and change it for the better´ explains the ins and outs of fate and karma and it is a book that will give you the tools to create a happy fate for yourself. It is available on Amazon.
