Immortality is something that we humans have been striving for since time immemorial. It is a common belief that you can obtain immortality only via having a strong legacy, that immortality can only be obtained if you live on in the memory of others. For that reason rich people build huge mausoleums that will stand as a mute witness to their own imagined grandeur. Or some rich people have their bodies or heads frozen, so that they, sometime in the future, can be defrosted once science has solved the mystery of death.
Now, these beliefs are a reflection of a deep and solid lack of spiritual insight, because we are, by design, eternal and thus already immortal beings. This is something that is still not part of the mainstream narrative, but in 100 – 200 years it will be. We are now only beginning to grasp the secrets of life thanks to the spiritual science of Martinus, who achieved cosmic consciousness at the age of 30, and whose huge work reveals the mystery of life in a hitherto unheard of logical and intelligent way. How can we be immortal beings?
What is becoming clear is that who we are, our essence with our I at the centre, is not in the physical body. Today it is believed that when the body dies, we die. Then it is lights out forever. But this is a huge misconception, and the one-life theory has never been proved. Nobody has ever been able to prove that nothing survives the death of the body. The one-life theory is a fabrication based on spiritual ignorance. It is a fabrication based on the false belief that only visible, physical matter is real. It is based on the total disregard of the existence of a type of matter that is everywhere: energy.
We already use energy in a huge number of applications: when we speak on our mobile phones, we use the information-carrying ability of energy to transmit messages to each other, we use it in GPS, in transmissions of radio and television, we can get our internet cordlessly, we use energy in an increasing number of useful ways and we even recognize that when the energy leaves the body, the body dies.
In spite of this overwhelming use of energy, it is a huge mystery why the majority still thinks that only visible, tangible, physical matter is real.
We are immortal beings because our essence is a field of indestructible energy. This field is who we really are and it cannot be dissolved.
What happens when we die?
At death, which a lot of people still harbour a totally unnecessary fear of, our consciousness pulls out of the body. Our consciousness is a field of energy which, while we are still physically alive, supplies energy and information to the body. Our consciousness sits in our aura, which surrounds and reaches out from the body some 50 cm. The aura has been studied widely today, and its existence is no longer something that can be denied.
In our consciousness field we live on. We are just as alive without our physical body as we were with it. In fact, we are more alive now than ever, because now we have been relieved of our cumbersome and heavy physical body, and dying is a wonderful experience, especially if we were ill or very old.
Our consciousness
Our consciousness is our real identity and it holds all the information about who we are. This information has been accumulated via experiences over a long number of physical lives, and it is who we really are. The body was just a shell, the piece of hardware we used in our physical life. Our consciousness is the software that makes the body work and it holds all the complicated information about the functioning of the body. The consciousness holds a huge amount of information about the person we are. This information lies embedded in the consciousness in the shape of wave interference patterns.
The core of our consciousness is our I or sense of self. The field of our consciousness sits around our I. Many materialistic scientists would claim that we do not have an I, and that we are identical to our brain. Still they do not say: the brain is going on vacation, the brain likes pizza, the brain loves you, the brain wants sex etc. Even if they claim to be identical to their brain, they all use the word “I” every day. And the reason why they do, is that this “I” is the core of who they are, whether they like it or not, whether they realize it or not.
Our consciousness / energy field holds all the information about who we are: It consists of the totality of our thoughts, our memories, our level of intelligence, our character traits and personality, our abilities, habits, tastes and tendencies, our emotional intelligence, our likes and dislikes, what we can accept and are willing to do, what we can find it in our hearts to do to others, what we dare or are afraid of, our possible phobias, our emotions and patterns of reaction, our morals and moral compass, our ethics, the basis for our behavior, our cardinal virtues, our level of health or illness, all our experiences, all the knowledge that we have accumulated over thousands of lives and our talents, which reflect things we have practiced and become good at over a long series of physical lives.
In other words: our consciousness holds all the information about our experiences and lessons learned over those thousands of lives. It is a treasure trove of information, and for each life we live, we add to this accumulated information because each and every life offers lots of experiences, mistakes and lessons learned, and thus we grow in wisdom, insight and humaneness for each life we live. I can also put it like this: each time we reincarnate we become a better and wiser version of who we are.
It is easy to substantiate the claim that our consciousness holds memories, traumas and lessons learned in former lives, because these memories can be accessed via hypnosis during regression therapy. This therapy has been studied closely over decades and incredible healing has resulted from confronting traumatizing events in former lives. It is all stored in our supra-consciousness and can be accessed with the help of a therapist. This has been documented widely by researchers in the field of past lives, e.g. Michael Newman (the Newman Institute) and Richard Martini. Both have written several books and once you have read them, there can be no doubt whatsoever about the existence of past lives memories in our supra-consciousness.
Energy is a type of matter and it has priority over physical matter.
The science of physics has now established that energy cannot be created or destroyed. This has been formulated in the Law of the Conservation of Energy. Energy is simply ´something that is`.
Energy is the most important type of matter in the universe. It is from energy that everything else has been created. Energy is also the type of matter of which our thoughts consist. Everything was a thought before it became a physical thing. The physical world is crystallized thoughts. It is always thought first.
