Is There A God?

Yes, there definitely is a God. There simply has to be a God, because nothing creates itself. When we look at our world, we know that none of the things in our manufactured surroundings has created themselves. We do not expect a table, a house or a car to have created itself. If we did, we would be on our way to the lunatic asylum.

Everything has been created on the basis of a thought

But when we look at a tree, a flower or a mountain, we seem to suppose that they have created themselves. But that is not so, because behind every man-made creation there is a thought. First we have a thought or a mental picture of the thing we want to create. We want to create it, because we have a plan for its use. We create it because we need it. We need the function that the thing can provide. Then we write it down or make a drawing, and then we create the thing in physical matter. Every man-made thing has been created like that. There is no exception to this. Everything was a thought before it became a physical thing.

The physical world has also been created on the basis of a thought

And as below, so above. The whole physical world was also a thought before it became a physical manifestation. The whole physical world was a thought in somebody´s head, and that somebody is God. And what was God´s plan with creating the physical world? The plan was to have a place where life can be experienced in physical matter.

We need contrasting experiences

Experiencing life in physical matter is a vital prerequisite for our eternal ability to perceive. We are primarily spiritual beings that live eternally in our spiritual body consisting of energy. But from time to time we have to incarnate in a physical body to experience contrast. If we did not do that, we would lose our ability to perceive. We need contrasting experiences in order to maintain our ability to perceive. God has created the physical world with its infinite number of inhabitable planets so that there is a place for us to go and experience contrast. Only through the experience of contrast can we maintain our ability to perceive. If there was no place to go to experience contrast, the universe could not be eternal, because it would have to end, when there would be no more to experience.

We are quanta of God

We live in a conscious universe and the universe is God´s body. We are cells in ‘his’ body. We can also put it like this: we are quanta of God. God´s body is indispensable to us, because in it we “Live, move and have our being”, as it says in the Bible, (Acts 17:28), but we are also indispensable to God, because it is through us, God´s micro beings, that ‘he’ experiences life. ‘He’ cannot do without us, and we cannot do without ‘him’. And ‘he’ is always with us. We may not think so, once we have reached the atheist stage (which most people experience at some time or other), but that does not matter, ‘he’ is with us always, through thick and thin. Once we realize that, we can start addressing our thoughts to ‘him’ and we will then discover that we can talk to ‘him’ on a daily basis. Once we do that, we will see how the magic of life begins to unfold for us. It is so obvious: acknowledge ‘his’ existence, and ‘he’ will answer you back.

Love is the basic tone of the universe

But let it be clear that the God I am talking about is not the angry, judgemental God of the religions. ‘He’ is an all-loving God, and love is the basic tone of the universe. But because there is light, there also has to be darkness.
