Dear Sir,

I read in the Danish newspaper Information that you had been interviewed about climate change, and that you stated that “there can be  something fundamental about the climate that we do not understand”.

In this letter I would like to come with a suggestion to what it is we do not understand about the climate. This understanding is based on my 30 years of studies of the Spiritual Science of the Danish intuitive Martinus. To date I have written 11 books about aspects of his cosmology. Martinus´ work comprises more than 10.000 pages and it is without doubt a source of deep universal, spiritual insight.

Now, in connection with climate change, Martinus was very specific, and he states that the Earth is a conscious, living being and that, like all other living beings, it regulates its bodily functions – among those the temperature on its surface. The Earth is not a dead lump of clay floating around in space, but a conscious, breathing, intelligent living being.

It is easy to ascertain that the Earth is alive: it has metabolism, and only living beings have that. The metabolism of the Earth is the cyclic principle that all matter on its surface is subject to: in autumn the leaves fall to the ground, where they are broken down and reused as soil later. All matter on the surface of the planet is subject to this process of dissolution and recycling. In other words, it is subject to the metabolism of the Earth being. Furthermore we see the cyclic principle in the cycle of water, which evaporates when heated, condenses when cooled and falls as rain, only to start a new cycle.

Also it is clear that both the oxygen level of the air (stable at around 21 %) and the salinity level of the seas (stable at around 4 %) are being regulated by somebody. With our growing CO2 levels it would be expected that the oxygen level would fall, but it does not. The oxygen content of the air is of vital importance to us, the micro-beings of the planet, so our host makes sure that it is as it should be. In reality there is a principle of protection at work from the macro-being towards its micro-beings.

All living beings have an I and this I is surrounded by a field of energy. This field is identical to our consciousness. It is not limited to the brain, but sits around the body in the shape of our aura. The consciousness of the Earth is what is called its magnetic field. It stretches far into space and its existence is a mystery to science. Without an electric field no being is alive. The electric field / aura / consciousness survives each and every time a being loses its physical body.

The climate has never been stable and we know that, when we look back in time. Only around 14.000 years ago we had a significant climate change when the last ice-age ended. Suddenly the huge masses of ice on the Northern Hemisphere started to melt, so that the habitable areas of the planet grew drastically. I have not seen a scientific explanation to what caused this “big thaw”, but it shows that our present situation is not unique and unprecedented. It is regulated by the I of the planet.

The present quite dramatic (“it has gone bananas”) climate change is due to the Earth´s present mental crisis. The Earth is a very old and very wise being – estimated at  around 4.5 billion years old. Like all other living beings the Earth is on a journey of evolution from a primitive to an advanced and enlightened being. The Earth is now so advanced that it is very close (only about 3.000 years) to becoming an enlightened being and having cosmic consciousness opened in its mentality.

Prior to the opening of cosmic consciousness all beings experience a kind of mental crisis, during which they have to get rid of their still primitive thought matter, so that they can prepare their consciousness for the fine and delicate, all-loving thought matter pertaining to having cosmic consciousness.

It is in this period of mental cleaning of the planet that we are living right now, and the Earth is “hot-tempered” because the process is slow and tiresome for it.  We see that wars a flaring up, natural disasters as floods and volcanic eruptions are frequent and things are far from being harmonious on the surface. Martinus says that we are experiencing the death pangs of an old culture, characterized by egoism, greed, wars, power-hunger, killings and disrespect for others, and a new culture, characterized by tolerance, help to others, compassion, altruism, peace and universal love.

There is no doubt which side will win. The new culture will win because otherwise the planet cannot reach its cosmic consciousness, which it is eager to have. Martinus says that in 300-500 years the last war will be fought here, and from then on the road to cosmic consciousness will be cleared, not only for the planet but also for us, its micro-beings.

Another huge factor in the climate is the relationship between the Earth and the Sun, which is also a living being. By far the greatest factor in the climate here is the amount of light particles the planet receives from the Sun. At times huge explosions take place on the surface of the Sun and this greatly affects the climate as well.

I am writing this because I think it is high time that our way of perceiving the planet and the universe undergoes a drastic paradigm shift. We cannot go on sticking to the old way of understanding things when it becomes more and more obvious that the old way is insufficient. This is where spiritual science comes in with a huge helping hand, showing us a way to view the world that expands our horizon.

We simply do not run the climate! The I of the Earth does. It has its own agenda and plan with its present incarnation. Right now its plan is to eliminate the micro-beings that belong to the old culture – the ones that still live by the killing principle. It has to do so in order that they can be replaced by micro-beings belonging to the new culture of universal love. It is in reality the same for the planet as it is for us, when we feel that there is a fight between good and bad in our own mentality.

Does this mean that we can stop worrying about our emissions and go on polluting as we have done so far? No, it absolutely does not. We must treat the Earth as we must treat all other living beings: with respect and love. We must put respect, tolerance and love at the steering wheel of the planet instead of greed, egoism and killings.

We must come to understand that when we kill other living beings it is our own future fate we are creating, because we reap as we sow. We will reap what we have sown, if not in this life, then in a later life. The one-life theory has never been proved and it stands in the way of a deeper understanding of what is going on here.

It is my hope that this short sketch of what causes climate change and the present crisis on the planet will be received with openness and broad-mindedness. We must move on and discard the old ways of thinking if we want to find a new and better way forward.

In my latest book, “The Earth, the Universe and God in a Cosmic Perspective – The True Theory of Everything based on Martinus´ Spiritual Science” I obviously go into much more detail about this subject, and I invite you to read it. It is on Amazon and is available in English, Spanish and Danish. Here is a link to the English version.
